PBA Honored Indian Captains.

The Professional Basketball Academy, Chennai celebrated 6th annual function by honoring 11 former Indian Basketball Captains at a function organized yesterday, November 25, 2007 at Presidency Club, Chennai.

The Academy which co hosted the Harlem Globe trotters Basketball show in Chennai last year also honored Geethu Anna Jose, the first Indian women to play League in abroad.

Ashok Verghese, Chairman of PBA said that it is an occasion to honor the service rendered by these legends as well as to create an opportunity to the youngsters to get interact with them.

S. Ganesan, Patron of the Academy lauded the achievements of Captains and said they are the role models for the young up coming players.


The Academy also felicitated the Union Christian Basketball team consists of PBA campers which won the prestigious St. Vincent School tournament recently.

Olympians V. Bhaskaran, V.J. Philip and Sebastian Xavier were also present for the function.

Pradeep Johnson, President of PBA extended vote of thanks.
