the professional Basketball ace club has been formed by
a group of Basketball enthusiasts comprising former Indian
Basket ball Captains, International as well as National
Player and leading administrators with an idea to promote
the high flying game of Basketball in India.
With an eye to pass
on their experience to the generation next PBA Club
has been conducting summer coaching camps under the
expertise of Indian Basketball Captains. To boost the
morale of School Children and to provide a healthy platform
for competition amongst Schools PBA organized a city
tournament for schools in 2001 and state level Inter
school Basketball tournament for Boys & Girls in
2002 to tilldate. The school children were thrilled
to perform at their best as most of them were playing
first time in a wooden floor Indoor Court at Mont Indoor
Stadium, Santhome high school Chennai. The PBA Club
continously receiving excellent coverage from the Press
and the Electronic Media.

Tournaments & camps, rated as the best of their
kind were supported by Hindustan Group of Institutions,
Adidas, Coca- cola, TI Cycles, ONGC, Sharon Veneers,
Cosco, IOB etc.
PBA has already made
waves in the Basketball Circle. Trans world International
(TWI), Zee TV, Asianet, Kairali TV, Sun News. Podhigai
Tamil TV and Dooradarshan have repeatedly screened PBA
Programmes.
The People at the helm
of affairs of PBA have a vision to popularize the Game
of Basketball from the “Grassroots” level
onwards. The club is planning to conduct coaching camps
/ clinics, road shows to promote the Game. The club
also aims to organize National as well as International
Tournaments to provide a stage to demonstrate the talents
of the players and expose them to higher levels of competitions.
The Commited people
of PBA Club continues to show keen interest and dedication
to promote the game in the country. They have set eyes
on basketball not just as a sport, but also as a future
form any out there!
